Hello everyone, I’m back with more yummy food. Yes, I know I promised to share more than just entrees, but it’s been cold here in Michigan, and we wanted some nice hot comfort food. And what is more comforting than Beef and Potatoes slow stewed together to perfection? Well of course Beef and Potatoes stewed together in an Instant Pot to save time and create even more tenderness in the beef. Don’t you just love it when the traditional recipes can be improved with modern technology 🙂

  1. Beef – 1 lb chopped in 2″ cubes
  2. Potato – 6 large, peeled and chopped in 2″ cubes
  3. Onion – 1 medium chopped
  4. Celery – 1 cup chopped
  5. Carrots – 1 cup chopped
  6. Garlic – 2 medium cloves crushed and chopped
  7. Chicken Broth – 1 cup
  8. Flour Gluten-Free – 2 tablespoons
  9. Smoked Paprika – 1 teaspoon
  10. Black Pepper – 1/4 teaspoon
  11. Cumin – 1/2 tea spoon
  12. Salt – 1 teaspoon
  13. Avocado Oil – 2 tablespoons

Set your Instant Pot to saute, once it heats up add the Avocado Oil and the onion and garlic. Stir the onion occasionally until it turns gold in color.

While onion and garlic are cooking, mix flour, salt and spices in the bowl, add beef and mix it together to make sure beef is fully coated with mixture. This will ensure the beef will get a nice crust and keep juices inside while cooking.

Add beef to the Instant Pot and saute to get a nice crust, than add a little Chicken Broth to the  Instant Pot to help lift anything that is stuck to the bottom, mix and scrape the bottom with the Wooden Spatula, then add carrots, celery and mix well. Let everything saute for about 5 minutes, then add enough Chicken Broth to barely cover everything.

Close the lid and vent, and set  Instant Pot to “Meat/Stew” for 50 minutes. Once times is done, vent, open and add potatoes. Mix everything well with the Wooden Spatula, then Close the lid and vent, and set Instant Pot to “Pressure Cook” for 15 minutes.

Enjoy your Beef Stew, If you like my recipe, please share my site, I’ll be working hard to bring you more content shortly.
