Hi guys, so we are on a mid-winter brake from school, which means that Daniella is at home with me, and we get to do some fun things together and one of them is cooking 🙂

Okay, so what’s on the menu for today: I asked Daniella and she almost immediately responded: “fish & chips” !!!

I really liked that idea of the fish, but thought perhaps that we should substitute the chips to something more healthy not deep fried, and we decided to go for the baked potatoes :)))

I decided to go with the Tilapia because it is very affordable and also healthy choice. Some facts about Tilapia : * “Tilapia unlike some other fish is free of mercury which means it is very safe for children or even pregnant woman. Tilapia has enough of the vitamin B12 to help with the cognitive functioning and helps red blood cells form properly”.

Okay, I think it is enough talking and it is time to start cooking because everybody is STARVING!!! 🙂



  1. Tilapia fish fillets- 10 peaces
  2. Salt- 1 tea spoon
  3. Garlic powder – 1 tea spoon
  4. Onion Powder – 1 tea spoon
  5. Black Pepper – pinch
  6. Eggs – 4 medium
  7. Flour Gluten-Free – 1/4 cup
  8. Avocado Oil – 2 table spoons

Baked potatoes:

  1. Potatoes – 6 medium size cut to about 1 inch
  2. Salt – 1 teaspoon
  3. Garlic powder  – 1 teaspoon
  4. Smoked Paprika – 1 teaspoon
  5. Vegeta Seasoning Soup Mix  – 1 teaspoon
  6. Avocado Oil – 6 teaspoons


I will start with the potatoes first by preheating the oven to 425 degrees.

Take a medium size bowl and place the potatoes along with the salt, spices, and Avocado Oil. Mix it all very well and transfer it to baking tray (first add about teaspoon of Avocado Oil to the tray and spread the oil very well to make sure all the tray becomes oily). Bake the potatoes for about 20 minutes and then mix them very well and bake for another 20 minutes or until its ready. (I always recommend to try everything you cook because it is the best way to determine if the food is ready 🙂


Okay, so while we have the delicious potatoes baking in the oven, we can start working on our fish!

Whisk the eggs in a medium ball, and add the salt and spices. In a separate bowl, place the flour.


Take one fish fillet and first dip it in the flour on both sides, and than dip it in the egg mixture. Continue the process with the remaining 9 fillets and fry all of them on preheated pan with avocado oil.
